Who am I?
I am assistant professor at the University of Leipzig (Digital Humanities) where I teach courses in Digital Humanities, Digital Philology, and Digital Classics.
My research interests are mainly focused on ancient Greece, ancient Rome, and the Digital Humanities. I have been extensively publishing and leading projects in these fields as part of the Open Greek and Latin (OGL) initiative at the University of Leipzig and at the Perseus Digital Library.
I am a DFG project leader at the Historisches Seminar of the University of Leipzig, where I’m developing named entity recognition and annotation of ancient Greek with a focus on bibliographic references to authors and works.
As part of my teaching activities, I am program director of SunoikisisDC, which is an international consortium of Digital Classics programs developed in collaboration with the Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies and the Institute of Classical Studies London.
